When does the heaviest standard option make sense?
200 GSM is specified rather than chosen casually. It is what a buyer asks for when the cover is a fixed part of an operation, when replacing it mid-season is disruptive or expensive, or when a procurement document names the weight. Beyond this point, further protection comes from construction details — edges, eyelets, reinforcement, how the sheet is secured — rather than from adding more grams per square metre.
This is the heaviest and bulkiest sheet we make as standard. At large dimensions it needs more than one person to handle and more space to store. Do not specify 200 GSM by default: specify it when the job justifies the weight and the cost.
Who this option suits
Procurement teams working to a fixed specification, operations where replacing a cover mid-cycle is costly, and buyers standardising on the heaviest available option across a site.

How 200 GSM compares with its neighbours
| Option | Material difference | What that means in practice |
|---|---|---|
| 180 GSM | −10% material | Lighter to handle and lower cost per square metre; less material available to resist wear. |
| 200 GSM — this page | — | Heaviest standard option in the range. |
Material differences above are arithmetic. Measured tear and tensile differences between adjacent options vary by finished product — ask us for the figures specific to the two you are comparing.

Colour is a variant of the same product rather than a different grade. Custom colours can be produced on made-to-order runs subject to minimum quantity.
Getting the size right
Sizing errors cause more tarpaulin failures than weight does. Take the footprint of what you are covering, add twice the drop you need on each side, then add at least half a metre all round for anchoring — height is consumed on both sides, which is why the answer is usually larger than expected.

Questions about 200 GSM tarpaulin
What is the highest GSM tarpaulin Double Kissan makes?
200 GSM is our heaviest standard option. Higher GSM can be produced on custom orders — send your requirement and we will check it against what our equipment can produce.
Is a higher GSM tarpaulin always better?
No. Higher GSM means more material per square metre, which usually helps with wear resistance, but it also means more weight, more bulk and higher cost. Construction quality, lamination and edge finishing affect real-world performance as much as GSM does.
Can 200 GSM be manufactured above standard sizes?
Custom dimensions are produced to order within the limits of our loom and lamination equipment — send the size you need and we will confirm it against that capability.
Do you supply 200 GSM tarpaulin in bulk to industrial buyers?
Yes. Bulk supply across all six GSM options is available direct from the manufacturer, with quantity, size, colour and packing confirmed at quotation.
Need 200 GSM in quantity or a non-standard size?
Send the dimensions, colour and quantity you need. You will receive a quotation with confirmed finished size, minimum order quantity and lead time.
