Answers

Frequently Asked Questions About Double Kissan Tarpaulins

The questions we are actually asked, grouped by what you are trying to decide — the product and material, choosing a GSM, sizes and colours, buying at retail, ordering in bulk or to custom specification, dealership and export, and the company itself. Where an answer depends on a factory figure we have not yet confirmed, that is stated rather than estimated.

Products & material

What is Double Kissan tarpaulin made of?

Laminated woven high-density polyethylene. HDPE is extruded into thin tapes, stretched to orient the polymer, woven into fabric on looms and then laminated to give a water-shedding surface.

What is the difference between HDPE and PVC tarpaulin?

HDPE is woven and laminated — lighter, cheaper and easier to handle at large sizes. PVC is a coated fabric — heavier, more flexible, longer-lived and weldable. Neither is better in the abstract; they suit different jobs.

Is Double Kissan tarpaulin waterproof?

The sheets are laminated woven HDPE, and lamination is what gives the surface its water-shedding behaviour. The formal waterproof classification by GSM, and the test method behind it, will be published once the factory has confirmed them.

Does Double Kissan tarpaulin resist UV?

We confirm the UV specification with our factory before publishing it — we do not publish a UV claim without the number behind it.

How long does a tarpaulin last?

Service life depends on exposure, tension, abrasion, how the cover is secured and how it is stored between uses — enough variables that a single expected-lifetime number would mislead more than it helps.

GSM & selection

What does GSM mean?

Grams per square metre — the mass of material in one square metre of finished sheet, including the woven fabric and its lamination. A 160 GSM sheet contains roughly 160 grams of material per square metre.

Which GSM should I choose?

Answer four questions in order: how long the cover stays in place, how often it is handled, what it rests against, and how it will be secured. Long-duration, low-handling uses justify heavier sheets; frequently handled covers usually do not.

Is a higher GSM tarpaulin always better?

No. More material means more weight, more folded bulk and higher cost. Construction quality, lamination and edge finishing affect real-world performance as much as GSM does.

What is the difference between 120 GSM and 160 GSM?

160 GSM carries approximately 33% more material per square metre — the largest single step in the Double Kissan range. Ask us for measured strength figures specific to these two options.

What is the GSM tolerance?

Because GSM is measured on a physical sample, every production run varies around its nominal figure. The Double Kissan tolerance is confirmed at enquiry.

Sizes & colours

What sizes are available?

Standard retail sizes are listed on our Amazon and Flipkart pages, which stay current in a way a static page cannot. Custom dimensions are manufactured to order.

How do I work out what size I need?

Take the footprint of what you are covering, add twice the drop you need on each side, then add at least half a metre all round for anchoring. Height is consumed on both sides, so the answer is usually larger than expected.

What colours does Double Kissan make?

Blue, yellow and transparent as standard across the range. Custom colours can be produced on made-to-order runs subject to minimum quantity.

Can I order a custom size?

Yes, within the limits of our loom and lamination equipment and subject to a minimum order quantity. Send the finished size you need and it will be checked before quotation.

Buying at retail

Where can I buy Double Kissan tarpaulin?

Retail sizes are sold through our official Amazon store and on Flipkart. Bulk quantities, custom sizes and export orders are supplied directly from the factory.

Is buying direct cheaper than the marketplace?

For quantity requirements, buying direct is usually the better route and is the only way to get a custom size. For one or two sheets, the marketplace listings are simpler and faster.

How are returns handled?

Retail returns are handled under the marketplace's own policy, since the transaction takes place there. Check the return terms on the listing before ordering.

Bulk & custom orders

What is the minimum order quantity?

It depends on GSM, size and whether the specification is standard or custom, and is confirmed at quotation against your specific requirement.

What information do you need to quote?

GSM, finished size, colour, quantity, where the sheets will be used and when you need them — plus eyelet arrangement and packing configuration if you have a preference.

How long does a bulk order take?

Lead time depends on quantity, specification and the current production schedule, and is confirmed in writing at quotation.

Will repeat orders match the first one?

Yes. Once a specification is agreed, subsequent orders are produced against the same one — which is the main practical reason businesses buy direct from the manufacturer.

Dealership & export

Do you offer dealerships?

Yes, to established trade businesses that already reach the relevant buyers. It is a trade supply arrangement — we do not publish margin figures or income projections and do not present it as an employment opportunity.

What margin do dealers make?

We do not publish margin figures. They depend on your buying quantity, your market and how you price, and any supplier quoting a guaranteed margin before seeing your business is guessing.

Do you export?

Export enquiries are welcome. Product range, packing configuration, documentation and OEM or private-label capability are confirmed against a specific enquiry.

Which countries do you supply?

Current export destinations are confirmed at enquiry. We do not publish a country list until it reflects real, current shipments.
