Where does 100 GSM fit in the range?
100 GSM is the bridge weight. It exists for the buyer who has found the lightest option too thin for the job but does not want the added weight and cost of a mid-weight sheet. The 20 gram-per-square-metre difference over 80 GSM is small in isolation, but across a large sheet it is a meaningful increase in the total material doing the work.
The honest comparison here is with 120 GSM rather than 80 GSM. If a cover will be left in place through a full season, the additional material in 120 GSM usually matters more than the handling advantage of 100 GSM. If it is put up and taken down regularly, the reverse is often true.
Who this option suits
Buyers who found the lightest sheet insufficient for their job but still want a cover that folds compactly and is easy to move between locations.

How 100 GSM compares with its neighbours
| Option | Material difference | What that means in practice |
|---|---|---|
| 80 GSM | −20% material | Lighter to handle and lower cost per square metre; less material available to resist wear. |
| 100 GSM — this page | — | Second lightest — the first step up from entry weight. |
| 120 GSM | +20% material | More material per square metre; heavier, bulkier folded and higher cost for the same covered area. |
Material differences above are arithmetic. Measured tear and tensile differences between adjacent options vary by finished product — ask us for the figures specific to the two you are comparing.

Colour is a variant of the same product rather than a different grade. Custom colours can be produced on made-to-order runs subject to minimum quantity.
Getting the size right
Sizing errors cause more tarpaulin failures than weight does. Take the footprint of what you are covering, add twice the drop you need on each side, then add at least half a metre all round for anchoring — height is consumed on both sides, which is why the answer is usually larger than expected.

Questions about 100 GSM tarpaulin
What is the difference between 80 GSM and 100 GSM tarpaulin?
GSM measures grams of material per square metre, so a 100 GSM sheet contains 25% more material across the same area than an 80 GSM sheet. That extra material adds weight and bulk to the folded sheet and raises cost per square metre — ask us for comparative strength figures specific to these two options.
Is 100 GSM enough for outdoor use?
Suitability depends on exposure, tension, how the sheet is secured and how long it stays in place. Verified per-application recommendations are being confirmed with the factory rather than estimated here.
Can 100 GSM be supplied in bulk?
Yes. Bulk quantities across all six standard GSM options are supplied direct from the manufacturing facility. Minimum order quantity and lead time are confirmed at the quotation stage.
Which colours are available in 100 GSM?
Blue, yellow and transparent as standard. Custom colours are possible on made-to-order production, reviewed against production capability.
Need 100 GSM in quantity or a non-standard size?
Send the dimensions, colour and quantity you need. You will receive a quotation with confirmed finished size, minimum order quantity and lead time.
